any good summer stem programs for current 9th grader?

It is a bit late to start but anyone can suggest some good programs for current 9th grader? It seems that most programs are for at least sophomores.
Also, if there are programs accepting current 9th graders, will the 9th graders be at disadvantage in the application selections as they are competing with higher grade students. Any comments, Thank you!
