City of Hope DMRI

I'm thinking of applying to City of Hope's Diabetes And Metabolism Research Institute Summer Research Program - has anyone ever successfully applied and was accepted into it? (Or just applied).
If yes, do you have any words of advice for the application/your experience there as a whole?
